My research area is wireless networking and mobile
computing. My research interests include 3G/4G cellular networks, WLANs, WPANs,
mobile ad hoc networks, wireless mesh networks, wireless sensor networks, MAC,
routing, TCP congestion control, radio resource management, spectrum-agile
radio access, seamless mobility, system co-existence, wireless multimedia,
energy efficiency, reliability and QoS.

a power-saving multi-radio multi-channel MAC protocol for WLANs.
- Co-developed
a dual-channel MAC protocol for mobile ad hoc networks.

antennas in WLANs and multihop ad hoc networks
- Designed
a MAC protocol to enhance the Performance of WLANs with Multibeam Access
Point.
- Developed
MAC protocols to fully utilize directional antennas in wireless ad hoc
networks, with and without synchronization, respectively.

interference-constrained maximum flow in wireless mesh networks with
directional antennas.
- Utilizing
channel diversity in WLANs and multihop ad hoc networks

a cross-layer approach to utilizing cooperative diversity for multi-hop
